Mad Men-Children

All last week Chris and I suffered through the first four seasons of Mad Men, a show that apparently lots of people like. And I have to say, I was impressed — I didn’t think something that offensive could be so BORING, but Mad Man has it down to a pickled-liver, woman-hating, a-total-of-six-things-happens-in-the-entire-show science. …Bravo?

So…it doesn’t get any better? I tried watching the first 3 episodes and it was so dull I couldn’t will myself to turn it back on. It’s no Downton Abbey, that’s for damn sure.
Oh my god, it was horrible. The first season isn’t even the worst season — it’s like the writers assumed it would only be a one-season run, and then every season they were renewed they were like, hmm, guess we’d better write the script we’re currently shooting. It didn’t help that we watched both seasons of Downton Abby right before we started this self-congratulatory shitshow…like comparing a Safeway apple pie to a Ratly
(we had to keep watching though because Chris needed to make that video for his site)
